Synopsis

The spectator sits in the performance space. The spectator sits in the movie theatre. The spectator wants a fable to be unravelled, the spectator wants to be mirrored in the objectives and anxieties of the characters, to have doubts, to feel empathy, to achieve the notorious “catharsis”. How many of us, upon watching Hamlet battle with the anguish of seeing the ghost of his father appear, were not affected by some heaviness, did not empathize with his irascibility and restlessness? How many of us did not want, like James Bond, to elaborate risky plans that would save the world or, like Estragon and Vladimir, despaired while waiting for Godot? So many of us. And if you are a girl sitting in the dark of a movie theatre or a play, for years on end? What was the idea of the feminine that was mirrored to you? What imagery was built up until your adulthood? What was, in fact, being said to you all that time?
